The 9YF-1900 sits between the compact 9YF-1700 and the full-width 9YF-2200 — a 1,900mm spring-tooth pickup that covers a productive swath on 50–99HP tractors, in a machine that is 100kg lighter and 735mm shorter than the 2200. For operations where a standard 55–75HP utility tractor is the primary field machine and a full 2.2m pickup width is more than the operation needs, the 9YF-1900 is the practical fit.

À 1,850kg with dual D-type knotters, fork feeder and auto rope binding, it handles the same crop range as the full series — wheat straw, rice straw, corn stover, cotton stalks and all forage grass — in a balle de 460×360 mm suited to hand handling and standard small loaders.

Straw and Residue Recovery

The 1,900mm spring-tooth pickup handles the standard post-combine windrow from most 1.8–2m combine cutting headers without a raking pre-pass in normal windrow conditions. The machine is rated for paddy field and dry field operation on flat, stone-free ground where bale density is consistent and the rope binding holds firmly.

Hay and Forage Production

The 9YF-1900 frame is built from welded structural steel sections designed to absorb the cyclic load of the knotting mechanism and plunger across a full baling season. At 4,965mm overall length the machine is more compact than the 2200, which also reduces frame bending moment and the stress concentrations that longer frames carry at the hitch and plunger guide points.

Gear transmission drives the plunger and knotter mechanism at consistent speed under varying PTO load — maintaining knot timing accuracy when the chamber fill rate varies with windrow density changes across the field. The gear drive runs cooler than belt-primary alternatives in sustained operation, which extends component life at the top of the PTO power range.

Two D-type knotters tie the bale at both sides of the 460mm chamber width — producing a well-secured bale that maintains its rectangular cross-section during loader handling, transport and stacking. The D-type mechanism is a proven design with straightforward maintenance and readily available replacement parts through agricultural equipment suppliers.

I run a 68HP tractor and the 9YF-1900 fits it perfectly — comfortable in wheat straw at good forward speed and still adequate for my hay ground without laboring the engine. The 1,900mm pickup covers my combine windrows without a raking pre-pass, which saves me a field operation each harvest. Bale quality is consistent and the knotters have not missed a tie in two full seasons. For my 85 acres this machine is exactly the right scale.

Switched from a round baler to the 9YF-1900 after my horse boarding customers kept asking for small square bales they could store in their tack room. The 1,900mm pickup handles my alfalfa windrows well — I rake to a 1.6m windrow first and the machine picks it up cleanly. Bale weights average 28kg, which my customers can carry by hand. We bale rice straw after paddy harvest and sell to a mushroom grower. I keep 30 goats and 15 sheep and needed a baler that produces bales I can feed without opening too much at once. The 9YF-1900 bales at roughly 20–25kg per bale in my fescue hay, which is a perfect 4–5 day supply for my animals without waste.
